About Tan Ser Seng
Tan Ser Seng Herbs (Turtle) Restaurant was founded by Tan Ah Sai in 1946. In the dawn of Singapore’s hawker scene, he brought his unique trade of turtle soup from China, and begun peddling his herbal broth along Orchard Road and later Mei Shi Jie.

Compared to the Double Boiled Turtle Soup, the Claypot Turtle Soup contains superior meat, and the broth is boiled with more Chinese herbs, to achieve a richer and heartier flavour. The Claypot Turtle Soup is a favourite amongst locals for its more potent soup and more succulent meat.

Gingseng Black Chicken Soup is a classic herbal dish that has high nutritional value, high protein and low fat content. Each pot is carefully prepared and stewed over night with one whole ginseng, to give a fragrant and rich flavour.
